Holy moly - life has been busy lately. About 3 month ago I took a full week break from being a mom (ok, you can't really take a break from that), a break from working the camera (not entirely true) and a break from the East Coast (well, thats about the truth)!
My friend and fellow yogi, Kristin Walsh was going Cross Country from Baltimore, her old home to her new home, San Francisco! I was lucky enough to tag along - from phoenix, AZ to the final destination of San Francisco, CA.
Fast forward arriving in Phoenix early Monday morning, we went straight to Sedona. Hello tranquility, vortex energy, good food and beautiful sunsets.
From Sedona we drove to LA through Joshua Tree. I had never been to Joshua Tree before so the excitement was obvious. Let me tell you, I was blown away by the beauty and strangeness and forms of this place.
Dust, a motel and wide landscapes met us on our ride to Joshua Tree.
Hello Echo Park, LA!
Waking up by the beach in Santa Barbara was like a dream. Nothing but the smell of the sea and the present moment. And a little yoga posing!
I once lived in San Francisco. It’s more than 7 years ago today. Before we took the leap to move across an ocean from Denmark to San Francisco we went from a family of 2 to a family of 3. It was not easy to pack up an already new way of living, to go live somewhere completely unknown to me and far far away from my comfort zone.
For me, San Francisco will always be a place that holds all of the feelings. It was where I discovered myself as a mom. Where love grew into an yet unknown size. Where my former life was 9 hours ahead and where I would wander the streets without meeting a familiar face. Sometimes I would live in a cloud - figuratively and literally. But an adventure it was and I'm happy to have another friend to go visit at the West Coast. Well, enough with the rambling! I cherish San Francisco and the people I met while living here and I love always to come back and visit.
The matcha at Samovar was the best I've had and their beautiful interior takes your breath away
You made it to last image... I salute you!
